Nurse practitioners are advanced practice nurses who provide high-quality healthcare services similar to those of a doctor. They have both academic and clinical experience in pediatric health and illness, child development, and pharmacology. Given their expertise in nursing, they offer a unique blend of nursing and medical care.
Our nurse practitioner works alongside and in collaboration with our pediatricians, providing a variety of services including:
* Well child examinations, including school and sports physicals
* Diagnosing and treating common childhood illnesses
* Providing anticipatory guidance regarding common health concerns
* Administering childhood immunizations
Amy was raised in Rolling Meadows and earned her B.S. in Nursing with a minor in biology from Winona State University. She attended graduate school at St. Xavier University and completed her M.S. in Nursing as a family nurse practitioner in 2008. After joining Children's Medical Group in 2011, she obtained her certification as a lactation counselor. Amy is board-certified by the American Nursing Credentialing Center.
Heather was raised in Des Plaines and earned her B.S. in Nursing from Lewis University. She attended graduate school at Lewis University as well and completed her M.S. in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in May 2016. She is board-certified by the ANCC. Heather brings with her more than 20 years of nursing experience in Women's Health, including care of the normal newborn. Heather joined CMG in August of 2016.

Priyanka earned her B.S. in nursing at Chamberlain College of Nursing and spent 7 years as a pediatric ICU nurse at Lutheran General Hospital. She returned to Chamberlain college of Nursing to pursue her M.S. in Nursing, obtaining her board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner in June of 2022.
